Our History
Step into a place where history and natural beauty meet. Founded in 1807 and named for Revolutionary War hero General Joseph Warren, this area has long been a crossroads for adventure, trade, and discovery. Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Cumberland Plateau, early settlers were drawn to its fertile valleys and winding waterways, planting the roots of a thriving community. By 1810, McMinnville emerged as a lively hub of agriculture, craftsmanship, and commerce, welcoming travelers and traders making their way between Nashville and Chattanooga. Today, visitors can still feel that spirit of exploration and connection, where scenic landscapes meet stories that stretch back more than two centuries.
